Frank Booth, 73, died Saturday, July 10, at his Van Lear home. He was the son of Luke and Nan Booth. Born May 10, 1903, in Johnson County, Mr. Booth was a retired miner and a member of the Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Booth on November 13, 1964. Surviving are his wife, Darlene Power Booth, five sons, Ellis of Elkhart, IN, James and Paul of Wabash, IN, Clifford of Van Lear, and Eugene of Marion, IN, two step sons, Ferm Bowling and Rocky Wells, both of Van Lear; five daughters, Ida Mae Thomas and Florence Lemaster, both of Columbus, Mary Webb and Nannie, both of Wabash, IN, and Bethal Bowling, a brother, Harrison Booth of Auxier, a sister, Lotta Greer of Paintsville; 43 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 2 step grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 13, in the Jones-Preston Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends James Sturgill and Bill Tackett officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Auxier with Jones-Preston Funeral Home handling arrangements. Paintsville Herald, Wednesday, July 21, 1976
