Obituary.
Abner O. Green was born February 8, 1832 in Mumford, Monroe County, N. Y. and departed this life May 31, 1907.
He was one of the many who answered Lincoln's call for volunteers in 1861, enlisting in Co. C, 4th N. Y., heavy artillery, faithfully serving his country for four years.
He was married in 1867 to Augusta Smith, who died eight years later. To this union three children were born, two of whom survive. He was married again in 1880 to Marion D. Root. To this union six children were born, five of whom are still living. Besides the immediate family he leaves one sister, Mrs. M. C. DeLong of Paw Paw, seven grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends to mourn his death.
