MRS. ROSA ELKINS CALLED BY DEATH-

Mrs. Rosa Elkins, widely beloved local resident, died Saturday evening at 5:20 o'clock at her residence, 217 West Church Street, at the age of 61 years. The deceased is survived by three sons, R.E. of Decatur; W.A. of Texarkana, and J.G. of Beaumont, Texas; her father, A. Anderson; one brother, James Anderson, of Red Bay, Ala; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Walker and Mrs. Mary Preuitt, of Decatur, and Mrs. Helen Ritter, of Oneonta.

The body was removed to Priests and prepared for burial, later being conveyed to the residence of a son-in-law, John Sherman, 511 East Wilson Avenue, where funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon by the Rev. J.E. Berkstresser. Interment following in City Cemetery.

Rosa Anderson Elkins was married to William Elkins and they had 5 children: Mattie Emaline, James G, William, Ross Alfanso and Deser. Her husband, William died before the 1900 census was taken. Deser was born March 1900 and died before the 1910 census was taken.
Her parents were Alvin Anderson and Emmaline Cole.
