The son of John Evans and Nancy Stephens, he was a farmer, and died at a hospital in Kirksville Missouri, according to his death certificate, informant was his wife of Madison Missouri.

Obituary (Moberly (MO) Monitor-Index, June 12, 1940)- Isaac Evans, 73, well-known farmer living northeast of Moberly, died at 4:20 o'clock this morning at the Stickler Hospital in Kirksville, where he had been a patient since June 1. Mr. Evans was born September 12, 1866, in Monroe county and had lived for 57 years in the home of his birth. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Wright Radabaugh, Moberly, Mrs. John Ford, Columbia, and Miss Leo Evans of the home; two sons, Ashley Evans of Louisiana, Mo., and Boyd Evans, route 1, Madison; and two granddaughters, Mrs. James Ellis, Moberly, and Patricia Louise Evans of Louisiana. The body has been taken to the Snow Funeral Home, where it will remain until the funeral, which will be held at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Madison Christian church by the Rev. E. D. Owen, pastor of the First Baptist church. Burial will be in Sunset Hill cemetery at Madison.
