Born Jan. 27, 1919, in Carter County, she was a daughter of Walter and Josie Mabry Nichols of Tick Ridge.
Her husband, Harve Holbrook, died in 1955.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Janice and Josephine Holbrook, both at home; one son Jonas Paul Holbrook at home; six sisters, Mrs. Sallie Gearheart of Shelby, O., Mrs. Delta Davis and Mrs. Opal Reynolds, both of Olive Hill, Mrs. Molly Brown of Kansas, Mrs. Madge Holbrook of Mansfield, O., and Mrs. Marie Sparks of Warren, O.; two brothers, Harlis Nichols of Bald Knob, W. Va., and Thurrel Nichols of Olive Hill.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Soldier Church of God with Atlee Nichols and Clifford Price officiating. Burial was in the Tick Ridge Cemetery with the Leslie A Henderson Funeral Home in charge.
