"Billie" Elven Fawvor, 85, of Port Arthur, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Promise Hospital in Nederland. She was born on September 3, 1925 to Elishey and Annie Robinson in Rayville, LA.

Billie married Curtis Fawvor on May 1, 1944 and in 1952 moved here from West Monroe, LA. She was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church in Port Arthur. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and had been a member of the women's auxiliary of Knights of Columbus #1304.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

Her survivors include her husband of 66 years, Curtis Fawvor of Port Arthur; 2 sons, Curtis Fawvor and wife Susan Kay of Nederland, Jeffrey Fawvor and wife Susan M. of Huxley, TX; 2 daughters, Ellen Fawvor of Port Arthur, Sherry Koons of Port Arthur; sister, Evelyn Seymour of Crowley, LA; 14 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A Gathering of her Family and Friends will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home Chapel, Port Arthur.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2011, at St. Catherine Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
