Reporter, Thurs. Sept. 25, 1975, p. 28:2. Funeral services for Erving Joseph Hennen, 75, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Fond du Lac, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. He died while on his way to his home in Mesa after spending the summer months in Fond du Lac. The Rev. Lloyd DeJong will officiate, and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. He was born June 8, 1900, in Fond du Lac County, a son of the late John and Margaret Andrew Hennen. He married Margaret Schwebke in Waukegan, Ill., in 1921, and she died in 1948. He then married Gladys Witt in 1949, and she died in 1967. On Sept. 16, 1967, he married Inez Caves in Fond du Lac. Mr. Hennen was a postal employe for 37 years, retiring in 1960. He was past secretary of the Letter Carriers Association, a member of the Elks Club at Mesa, Ariz., and a charter member of the Fond du Lac SPEBSQSA. Surviving are his widow; a son, Roy E. of Mequon; three daughters, Mrs. John Fields of Yuma, Ariz., Mrs. Archie Mantz and Mrs. John Zahn both of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five stepsons; and three sisters, Mrs. James Waring of Tucson, Ariz., Mrs. James Prasser and Mrs. Florence Dillon both of Fond du Lac. Two great-grandchildren preceded him in death.
