Deceased Name: JOSEPH D. FALCONE

Joseph Dominick Falcone, 93, of 1416 Court St., Syracuse , died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center.

He was a life resident of Syracuse . He was commissioner of assessment for the city for more than 40 years, retiring in 1970. He was past president of the Lincoln Republican Club.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, the former Agatha "Ida" Ascioti; five sisters, Antoinette Mancuso, Mary Uva, Anne Marshall and Grace Lauretti, all of Syracuse , and Carmella Seville of New Jersey; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

Services are 10:15 a.m. Thursday at Pirro & Sons Funeral Home and 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei Church. Burial is in Assumption Cemetery.

Calling hours are 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., Syracuse .
