Harold married Cora Lee Harrop, daughter of Charles and Emma (Kuller)Harrop of Brookville, and they had one daughter, Janice Stegner Landreth.
Harold's interest in electricity led to his opening his own shop, Stegner Electric Shop, at 831 Main in Brookville, property he had purchased from his Hamann grandparents. Harold & Cora also lived in the building and operated the business together.
He was very active in the Brookville Volunteer Fire Department where he served as assistant fire chief for many years.
Harold died in 1963 and is buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville.

"Harold Stegner"
Harold E. Stegner, 57, 831 Main Street, electrician, and owner of Stegner Electric, died at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati, this morning where he had been a patient about two weeks.
He was a member of the Eagles, F. O. E. No. 1129 and Harmony Lodge No. 11 F.& A.M.
Survivors are his wife, formerly Cora Harrop, a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Landreth of Milwaukee, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stegner of Blooming Grove, two sisters, Mrs. Bernard Gilligan of Cincinnati, and Mrs. Norman Senefeld of near Blooming Grove.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Clevenger Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the fuenral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. * * *
