Lyle Ellis Dickison Ava, MO

Lyle Ellis Dickison, 92 years, passed to heaven on March 30, 2011 at home with his family by his side.

Lyle was born September 13, 1918 in Richville, MO to Leonard and Josie (Alsup) Dickison.

Lyle was a lifelong resident of Douglas County. On July 2, 1960 Lyle and Marybelle Solomon were united in marriage in Ava, MO and to this union two wonderful children were born.

Lyle worked for the Mo. State Highway Dept. for over 16 years. He enjoyed farming and gardening. His joy was being with his family. Lyle was a member of the Ava General Baptist Church.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, John, Chalmer and Cloin. Lyle is survived by his wife, Marybelle Dickison, Ava, MO, a son & wife, Lynn & Tawn Dickison, Springfield, MO, a daughter & husband, Linda & Gary Bass, Rogersville, MO, one granddaughter, Bethany, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Lyle will be Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, MO with burial in the Pleasant Mound Cemetery, Dora, MO. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to Gideons International.
