Pauline Lucille Kelly was born May 16, 1917 in Buena Vista County, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (Johnson) Kelly. She received her education at the Nemaha schools, graduating from Nemaha High School in 1935. Pauline continued her education at Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa. She then taught country school for five years.

On June 15, 1941, Pauline was united in marriage to Fred Cramer in Early, Iowa. The couple was blessed with two children: Bill and Martha (Marty). Pauline and Fred enjoyed a long and happy wedded life. They would have been married 67 years this coming June.

Pauline was a loving wife and devoted mother who kept a warm and comfortable home for her family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Newell, where she served on various boards, taught Sunday School, was a past president of the United Methodist Women, and sang at many church events. She was a member of the Danish Brother- and Sisterhood, Sac County Chorus, served as a 4-H Leader, was past president of the Newell Senior Center, delegate to the Storm Lake Senior Citizens Center, served on the advisory board of the Newell Good Samaritan Center, and was involved in the Newell Centennial preparation, to name but a few of Pauline's civic service activities.

She enjoyed playing in various card groups, sewing, going fishing, and dancing with Fred. Pauline's family was her greatest treasure and she held a special place in her heart for her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Fred, of Audubon; son Bill (Kathy) Cramer of Audubon; daughter Marty (Chuck) Petzoldt of Mason City, Iowa; grandchildren: Brian (Sherri) Cramer of Creston, Iowa and their children Jessica, Caleb and Olivia; Bradley (Natalie) Cramer, presently of Germany, and their son, Kaden; and Kelli Petzoldt of Mason City, Iowa and her son, Brayden; extended family and many friends.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mildred Larsen; and her brothers, Walt Kelly and Lester Kelly.
