Andrew M. Hoach, 84, Burlington, died Saturday in a Topeka hospital where he was admitted Friday.
He was born Nov. 30, 1887 at Gridley and spent most of his life in Coffey County. He was a retired farmer.
He was an Army veteran of World War I and was a member of Congdon-Kepler Post No. 38 of the American Legion at Burlington.
He was married to Mary Pearl Wiggins Aug. 1, 1928 at Emporia. She survives.
Other survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. C.R. Harmon, Fowler, Ind., and Mrs. J.D. Leatherman, Kansas City, Kan.; a son, Freddie A. Hoach, Waukesha, Wis.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. William J. Duncan, Odessa, Tex.; a stepson, Dwayne Mercer, Lyndon; a sister, Mrs. Pearl Hatch, Burlington; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home at Burlington with burial in Graceland Cemetery.
