Ardele Benoist Howie-Kinsey, 91, of Lenexa, Kansas and formerly of Mt. Vernon, Illinois passed away at 2:02 A.M. on Friday, February 19, 2011 at St. John Hospital in Leavenworth, Kansas.
She was born on May 6, 1918 in Bridgeport, Illinois the daughter of the late Charles Gordon and Mary Emma (Stein) Benoist. She married John Duncan Howie in St. Louis, Missouri on February 7, 1941 and she later married Fred Kinsey.
Surviving family members include her Daughter: Jeanne Howie Grassinger of Shawnee, Kansas; 3 Grandchildren: Jay Grassinger of Tampa, Florida, Michael Grassinger and wife Hayley of Shawnee, Kansas and Rhea Grassinger of Shawnee, Kansas; Great Grandson: Aidan Grassinger of Shawnee, Kansas; Brother: Bud Benoist and wife Margie of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; Sister: Marjorie Davis of Hollywood, Florida; 2 Nephews: Jack Benoist of Mt. Vernon, Illinois and Tom Davis of Hollywood, Florida; 2 Nieces: Jane Raney of Mt.
