Mrs. Julia I. Cornelius, 81, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 1975, at her home in Pine Knot. Her husband preceded her in death.

The daughter of the late Henry Creekmore and Virginia Ellison Creekmore, she was born at Pine Knot May 16, 1893. She was a lifelong resident of the community.

Surviving are several sons and daughters, Mrs. Flora Mahoney, Bedford, Ky., Mrs. Virginia Leveridge and B. L. Cornelius, both of of Dayton, Ohio, Roscoe Cornelius, Romance, Ark., Robert Cornelius, Fayettville, Ohio, Mrs. Anna Hamblen and Ova Cornelius, Miami, Fla., Ray Cornelius, Fairborn, Ohio, and Clyde Cornelius, Trotwood, Ohio.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. William Goodan, were held at 1 p. m. Sunday, Feb. 9, in Hickman Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial was in Pine Knot Cemetery.

Serving as active pallbearers were her sons, B. L. Cornelius, Roscoe Cornelius, Robert Cornelius, Ray Cornelius and Clyde Cornelius.

Hickman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
