He married (1) Dora Belle Horton in Fannin Co., Texas January 22, 1893.
He and Dora had three children: Horace Greeley Cashion (1894-1966), Joe Allen Cashion (1899-1972), and Lorene Alice Cashion (1908-1992, m. Karl William Moritz).
Jesse, Dora, and their two oldest children moved from Fannin Co., Texas to Shawnee, Pottawatomie Co., Oklahoma in 1903. Their third child Lorene was born in Shawnee in 1908. Dora died in Shawnee in 1936.
Jesse married (2) Lucile "Lucy" Howard Roberts Feb. 3, 1940 in Pottawatomie Co. No children were born to this union.
Jesse is buried next to first wife Dora at Fairview Cemetery. His second wife Lucy is buried in another section of this same cemetery.
His obituary appeared in the "Shawnee (Okla.) News-Star" Sunday, Jan. 19, 1958:
"Services for Jesse Mason Cashion, 84, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Roesch Brothers chapel. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
"Cashion died Friday in a local hospital. He resided at 112 West Hayes.
"He was a former Rock Island railroad employee and had lived in Shawnee since 1903. He had also been employed by both the Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. and Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co., here. He had been in semi-retirement for the past 16 years.
"He was a member of the Church of Christ, Tenth and Bell.
"Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lucy Cashion, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Lorene Moritz, New York City, N.Y.; two sons, Joe A. Cashion, Nakomis, Fla., and Horace Cashion, Oklahoma City; three grandchildren, two stepsons, H. F. Roberts, 707 South Beard, and J. W. Roberts, Fort Worth, Texas, and two step-daughters, Mrs. A. H. Yocum, Bethany, and Mrs. Fred Ryan, Los Angeles, Calif."
