Funeral services for J.V. Bolin, 75, of Crossville, who passed away Jan. 4, 2000, were held Jan. 6 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with burial in Thomas Springs Cemetery. Bro. Mike Kerley officiated.
He was born Feb. 21, 1924 in Cumberland County, the son of Arthur and Lola Troglin Bolin.
Mr. Bolin was a heavy equipment operator, and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Davis Bolin of Crossville; daughters, Carole Hamby of Grandview, Linda Fields of Crossville, Marilyn Webb of Crab Orchard, and Deborah Johnson of Sparta, TN; son, Gene Bolin of Snellville, GA; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Everett Bolin Sr. and Cecil Bolin, both of Crossville; and sisters, Agnes Harwittle of Crossville, Lucille Pierce of Florida, and Bobbie Jean Howard of Lynchburg, TN.
He was preceded in death by two infant sons; daughter, Marjette Wallace; brothers, Homer and Raymond Bolin; and sister, Nora Smith.
Pallbearers were Joe Tucker, Hollis Bolin, Everette Bolin Jr., David Winningham, Jim Frazier and Vance Music.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
