Charles Plantz

Charles W. Plantz, 78, of 106 Lynnhaven Drive, North Syracuse, died yesterday at a local nursing home after a long illness. Mr. Plantz was a native of Hammond and resided in Syracuse and North Syracuse most of his life. He was a retired employee of the Prestolite Co., as a salvage foreman, after 37 years of service. Mr. Plantz was a member of the Prestolite 25-year Club and a Red-Cross Volunteer. He was also a Veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Marion Stanley Plantz; a daughter, Mrs. Marilyn Gryczka of North Syracuse; three grandchildren and one great-grandson. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Sears-Middleton Funeral Home, Inc., North Syracuse, with the Rev. C. James Pasma, of the North Syracuse Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery.
