Commonwealth Reporter, Thurs. Nov. 29, 1962, p. 26:1. Funeral Rites Are Planned At St. Mary's. Mrs. Julius Erke Dies At Age of 79; Body To Be In State. Mrs. Ottilia Erke, wife of Julius Erke, died at her home, 57 W. Sibley st., Wednesday. She was 70. She was born here July 13, 1883, the daughter of Jacob and Barbara Schmitz, and was married to Mr. Erke on Nov. 220, 1901, at St. Mary's church. Surviving are the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Pireaux, Chula Vista, Calif., and Mrs. Arnold Plonsky, Racine; three sons, Bernard, Milwaukee, Julius, Jr., of Wauwatosa, and Gerald, Riverside, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son and one daughter. The body will be in state after 2 p.m. Friday at Zacherl's Funeral home. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home and at noon at St. Mary's church. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery.

Sibley st., who died Wednesday, were held at noon today at St. Mary's Catholic church, following brief rites at 11:30 a.m. at Zacherl's Funeral home. Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Pallbearers were James Erke, Thomas Erke, Kenneth Plonsky, Jerry Plonsky, Charles Andrews, and Joseph Huber. Out-of-town visitors came from Racine, Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Chula Vista, Calif., and Riverside, Calif.
