Elizabeth Leedy was born 1-23-1806 in Augusta Co., VA, the 2nd of 13 children born to Samuel Leedy-ii (1774-1863) and Barbara (Garber) Leedy (1780-1846). Elizabeth married 3-17-1825 in Augusta Co., VA to Jonas Cyrus Crumbaker (1801-1880), the son of Rev. Peter and Sarah Crumbaker. The couple's first 4 children were born in Augusta Co., VA. About 1835, the couple made the 3 week journey to OH, using 2 Conestoga wagons and 1 carriage. They moved first to Eaton Co., OH and a few years later moved to Preble Co., OH. Her husband was said to have been 5 ft. tall and slender with dark hair. They were prosperous on a 160 acre farm. They were the parents of 6 known children.
