I have been compiling the Leedy Family and allied families genealogy since Dec. 1981. The database for the Leedy family now includes over 94,010 descendants (and their marriages) for the Swiss immigrant Johannes (John) Lidi~Leedy (ca1715-1760) and his wife Mary Elizabeth, from Zollbrück, Switzerland. This collection includes several thousand photos of family members and over .58 million sourced records. The 1st Leedy family in America consisted of 8 children known to have lived to maturity, of which we now have descendants collected and determined for 5 of the 8 branches to present day. These branches moved into the areas of central PA and NE OH (Jacob Leedy-i); Robertson, Cheatham and Davidson Co.s, TN (Johanna Jacobina Leedy Binkley); central OH and Kosciousko Co., IN (Abraham Leedy-I); Rockingham/Augusta Cos., VA and Huntington/Wabash Co.s, IN (Samuel Leedy-i); Wythe/Bland Co.s, VA, NE TN, Champaign Co., IL and Pike/Elliott Co.s, KY (John Leedy-ii).
