Lunenburg County Deed Book 8 (part 1) abstracted gy Patrick Gudaitis, 12 July 1764, pg. 206. this indenture made 9th July 1764 between Lewis Akin of Lunenburg Co. Parrish of St. James, and Daniel Akin of the same. For 10 pounds Va. money, paid by Daniel Akin, sold 50 acres +/-. Borders John Robertson. Located north side of Butchers Creek.
Signed Lewis Akin, Elizabeth (her) mark Akin. Wit. Thomas Saltenwhite, Henry his (H) mark Roberson, Thomas Calleton. Memorndum on 9th July 1764 for possession. Same Sig & Wit.

Would't this be good enough to prove her name was Elizabeth.
