Ralph Amel Bitner, 55, a former Ottumwan died at 2:30 am Saturday at the Ford hospital in Detroit, Mich.
He was born June 20, 1902, in Delta, Iowa, the son of Albert and Emma Spears Bitner.
He lived at Allen Park, Mich, and was a draftman for the Ford Motor Co. in Detroit. He was a member of a Detroit Masonic lodge, Olive Branch.
Survivors include his wife Charlotte; his mother, Mrs. Emma Bitner of Ottumwa; one daughter, Mrs. June Sedore of Detroit, and one grandson. Other survivors are 4 brothers, Earl of Detroit, Kenneth, Francis and Gene, all of Ottumwa, and 3 sisters, Mrs. Bertha Jacobs of Sheridan, Wyo, and Mrs. Ethel Hawkins and Mrs. Gethel Garrison, both of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his father, one infant son and one sister.
The casket will be returned to the Johnson funeral chapel Tuesday morning and services will be held at 3pm, Wednesday in charge of the Rev. L.C. Card of the First Church of the Open Bible. Burial will be in Shaul cemetery.
