John Nathan Hittson, Jr. was born at the Six Springs Ranch, Deer Trail, Colorado. At the age of four years, he witnessed the tragic death of his father. His mother soon moved back to Mineral Wells, Texas with John Jr. The exciting life on a cattle ranch and open country was over. Close to adulthood, John Jr learned to be a mechanic. Soon after his wife died in childbirth, he tirelessly put his mind and hands to work to end the sadness. He contracted pneumonia and passed away from the illness.
