Jesse Poindexter, 64, of Louisville, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at Norton Southwest Hospital. Mr. Poindexter was November 12, 1937 in Burkesville, KY. He was a retired machine operator for Inland Containers and a member of Beth Haven Baptist Church. Survivors: his wife, Shirley Poindexter; four sons, Evan, Bryan, Carl and Terry; daughters, Jimmie, Libby and Sheila; eight brothers, five sisters, 30 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday at W.G. Hardy Valley Chapel, 10907 Dixie Hwy., Louisville, KY. Burial: Beth Haven Cemetery. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the Kid's Center, 882 Eastern Parkway, Louisville, KY, 40217.
