C.S. Atwood Funeral Set
Will be Wednesday at 10:30.
Funeral services for Charles S. Atwood, 75, of 2334 York st., will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lilly's funeral home. Burial will be in Laurel Hill cemetery.
Mr. Atwood, who had been a carpenter in Des Moines for the last 18 years, died at his home Monday morning after a week's illness. Before coming to Des Moines he worked for the Minute Manufacturing Co. in Newton, Ia.
He is survived by his widow, four daughters, four sons, two brothers and a sister. The daughters are Mrs. Zoe McKay of Jewell, Ia.; Mrs. Fern Fogelman of Kircksville, Mo.; Mrs. Iva Johnston of Des Moines, and Mrs. Lillian Morgan of Des Moines.
The sons are Elmer H. Atwood of Longville, Minn.; Snowden L. Atwood of Colfax, Ia.; William M. Atwood of Newton, Ia., and Harold C. Atwood of Des Moines.
The brothers are Grant Atwood of Newton and F.C. Atwood of Long Beach, Cal. The sister is Mrs. Grace Wells of Ferndale, Minn.
