Iva Johnston, 101, of Newton died of a heart ailment Tuesday at Newton Health Care Center there, where she had lived since 1988. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
Mrs. Johnston, a homemaker, was born in Newton and lived in Des Moines most of her life before moving to the care center.
Nieces and nephews survive.
Arrangements are being handled by Walter-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.
