MRS. ADDIE JANE UPDIKE OVERSTREET
Mrs. Addie Jane Updike Overstreet, age 87, of 1310 Stewart Ave., S.E., died Saturday morning in the Community Hospital, Roanoke. She was born in Bedford County, and was a daughter of the late Nathan Updike and Rosie Woodford Updike. She was the widow of the late Wesley Howard Overstreet and was a member of Wilson's United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Melvin H. Overstreet, Bedford; three daughters, Mrs. Lois Vandergrift, Roanoke; Mrs. Nelia Crowder, Bedford; Mrs. Adell Virginia Karnes, Vinton; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. from Updike Funeral Chapel, with burial in Wilson's Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friends may call at Updike Funeral Home, Huddleston.
