COLEMAN - Mrs. Aileen Dibrell Edwards, 72, a lifetime native of Coleman, died at 6 p.m. Sunday at her residence following a long illness. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Stevens Memorial Chapel with Rev. Edward J. Heffner, pastor of Church of Good Shepherd in Brownwood, officiating. Burial will be in the Coleman City Cemetery under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
Born Dec. 1, 1898 in Coleman, Mrs. Edwards was married April 14, 1920 to A. I. Edwards in Coleman. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Dibrell.
A housewife Mrs. Edwards was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Strawn of Coleman and Mrs. Mary Allen of La Pryor; one son, A. I. Edwards Jr. of Port Arthur; one sister, Mrs. Lotta Wooldridge of Coleman; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
