Mr. Howard G. Baer, 83 passed away Tuesday, Nov. 5, 1985, at St. Clare Hospital following a long illness.
Mr. Baer, son of Edward and Cora Baer, was born in Delton Township, Sauk County on June 12, 1902. He was married to the former May Thomas Nov. 18, 1926 in Baraboo. Early in life he had farmed in the Baraboo area and then spent 25 years in Madison where he was employed by the State of Wisconsin. He then moved back to Baraboo after his retirement in 1967. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, May, Baraboo; one brother, Albert, Baraboo; one niece, Mrs. Red (Rachel) Bewick, Madison; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister, Mabel Boyd; and one half-brother, Vern Hewitt.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Nov 9, at the first Untied Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ruwal Freese officiating. Burial will occur in the Walnut Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 12:30pm until the time of service, at the church. The family suggest that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church. The Redlin funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Music was provided by organist Martha Lange and soloist John Ellington. Pallbearers were Gordon and Neil Waddell, Stuart Thomas, Gerald Alexander, Frank and Thomas Kallian.
