Gaffney, SC - - Lena Love Stroup, 92, formerly of Lipscomb Street, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Upstate Carolina Medical Center. Born in Cherokee County, she was the wife of the late Lake W. Stroup and daughter of the late Grady Love and Jane Thompson Love. Mrs. Stroup retired from the textiles industry and B. D. Lee Elementary School Cafeteria and was a member of Draytonville Baptist Church. Surviving is a daughter, Jacqueline Pearce of Lake Royale, NC; a sister, Bertice Love Tucker of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Tim Hodge and Mark Hodge; a great-grandchild, Melinda Hodge; several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 25, 2011 at Draytonville Baptist Church Cemetery
