She was born Feb. 6, 1932, to Lawrence and Vera (Montgomery) Simmons in Agenda, Kan. Maurine married her husband, Thomas P. Gunn on May 12, 1951, and he survives her.
Maurine will be greatly missed by her family: her husband of 60 years; two devoted sons, Donny (wife, Peggy) Gunn of Noblesville and Gary Gunn of Noblesville; three loving grandchildren, Todd Gunn of Noblesville, Shawn Gunn of Fortville and Ryan (wife, Brandi) Gunn of Sheridan; three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jamison and Evan; two sisters, Harriett Huber of Concordia, Kan., and Diana (husband, Clifford) Roberts of Brownsburg; and four brothers, Deurweent (wife, Reva) Simmons of Altus, Okla., Norman Simmons of Noblesville, Lawrence (wife, Joyce) Simmons of Elbert, Colo., and Danny (wife, Cindy) Simmons of Monticello.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dewey Matherly; and brother, Bobby Simmons.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Road, Noblesville, where friends and family are invited to gather from 11 a.m. until time of services. Burial will follow in Summit Lawn Cemetery, Westfield.
