Mrs. Gladys Eulene Parker, age 92 of Quitman, was escorted through the portals of heaven October 8, 2019 following a lengthy period of declining health. Mrs. Parker was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who passionately loved all of her family. She had many friends and loved to spend time with her family and friends. In addition to raising 5 girls Mrs. Parker had also worked at the Quitman High School Cafeteria and was an honorary member of SHINE at her church, Sweetwater Baptist Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Gayle Parker, Kaye Lowe & Johnny, Sue Heflin and Roger, Sandy Terral & Randall and Harlene Brown & Gary; grandchildren, Cristy Miles, Brandon Lowe, Jeremy Taylor, Marilyn Miles, Devie Huckaby, Heath Brown, Brett Silmon, Jodie Porter, Jamie Brown, Angel Parker, Tammy Blundell, Billy Lowe and Phillip Taylor; 27 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her husband Harlan H. Parker; parents, Walter Wesley and Geneva Belle (Ponder) Anderson.
Friends may visit with the family 5:00PM ~ 8:00PM Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Sweetwater Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at the church 2:00PM Friday with Reverend Stuart Toms, Dr. Reverend Wilton Wall and Reverend Lance Huckaby officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern-Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Brandon Lowe, Billy Lowe, Heath Brown, Phillip Taylor, Holden Huckaby, Zach Lowe and Parker Blundell.
