K.B. Griffith is stricken
Kennedy Brown Griffith, 87, of 208 Third street, died at 10:30 o'clock Sunday night at the county hospital.
Mr. Griffith, an interior decorator, was a 62-year member of the Masonic lodge and was a past master of the local lodge. He is survived by his wife, Lula May.
Born Sept. 22, 1866, at Queensville, he was the son of Roderick and Mary J. Brown Griffith. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and lived in Columbus 82 years.
Surviving besides the widow are two sons, Kennedy Griffith of Chicago and Denver Griffith of Columbus; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil Herron and Mrs. Harold Chandler, both of Hope; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Hathaway funeral home, conducted by the Rev. William R. Laws. Burial will be made at City cemetery.
The casket will be open at the funeral home after 6 o'clock this evening.
