Anna Jones was born on the 17th of May 1855 to Israel Jones and Jane Cox. She came from a large family of 10 children. Her father was a coal miner. Anna married Richard R. Jones (had the same name) at only 15. She had her first child at barely 16, which she named after her father, Israel. She had 10 children, only of which 7 survived, 5 boys and 2 girls. Richard passed away at the age of 57, after 36 years of marriage. Anna remarried Christopher Hall a year later on the 31st of October 1907. They were married for 12 years until his death in 1919. She was member of the Methodist Episcopal Church. She contracted pneumonia and passed away on the 17th of February 1935. She had 23 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren when she passed.
