April 28th, 1931 - March 24th, 2011

Mr. Rayvon Langley , 79, a native and resident of Wayne County, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel. He was a member of West Shady Grove Baptist Church in Waynesboro and had worked as a carpenter in commercial construction. Mr. Langley is preceded in death by his father, Julius (Jule) L. Langley; mother, Victoria (Vickie) Ann Lindsey Randall; step-father, Winston S. Randall; a grandson,Charles Gregory (Greg) Pittman and a son-in-law, David Robbins.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ann Langley of Waynesboro; 4 daughters, Patricia Ann Langley Harvey (Jerry) of Pearl, Gwendol (Gwen) Lavonne Langley Pittman (Charles) of Brandon, and Kathy Jean Langley Robbins of Jackson, Betty Dianne Langley Hathorn (Tim) of Hattiesburg; one son Glaston (Ray) Rayvon Langley, Jr. (Leann), of Florence; 11 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild. He was also survived by a special friend, his cat named Girl. Visitation for Mr. Langley will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Friday, March 25, 2011 in the Parlor of Freeman Funeral Home in Waynesboro. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2011 from the West Shady Grove Baptist Church in Waynesboro with Rev. Mitchell Smith and Rev. Tommy Davis officiating. Interment will be in West Shady Grove Cemetery.
