Jo's first husband and father, of her children, died when she was expecting her last child.She later married my dad,the marriage ended in divorce.She was a very sweet lady,and a wonderful step-mother.We,will always remember her,with love.

Josephine Meadows, 70, died Sunday, May 16, 2004, at her home. Visitation is today until 10 a.m. Wednesday at her residence until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday at Polkville First Baptist Church in Polkville with burial in Antioch Cemetery in Pelahatchie. Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Morton is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Meadows was a native of Scott County and longtime resident of Barefoot Springs Community near Pelahatchie. Mrs. Meadows formerly worked at Pelahatchie Poultry Company, Stanwood Mfg. Corp., and Multicraft, all of Pelahatchie. She was working at Craft-Co. Enterprises prior to her illness.
Mrs. Meadows was preceded in death by her husband, W.H. Meadows, her son, Johnny C. Meadows, and her parents, Rosalie Purvis and James Quick.
Survivors include her son, Willie H. Meadows of Pelahatchie; daughter, Jean Bushey of McKinney, Texas; brothers, Jimmy Quick, William Lee Purvis, William Lawrence Quick and David Quick, all of Brandon; sisters, Frances Harrell of Viddalia, La., and Nettie Meyers of Pelahatchie; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
