Mr. Hipple died Saturday evening at Balmer's Nursing Home, Estherville.
He was born April 28, 1885 at Sioux Rapids,and educated there and in Estherville. Sept. 6, 1905 he was married to Jessie Smith at Iowa Falls. He was employed as a railroad engineer from 1904 to 1950, when he retired.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Baker of Vista, Calif., and Mildred Hipple of Estherville; six grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, both in California. (Fairmont Sentinel, Fairmont, Minnesota, November 11, 1974)
