RUMSON--Mrs. Annie Hower, 82, died Tuesday at her home, 76 Washington at., after a long illness. Born at Navesink she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Adeline Johnson Layton. Mrs. Hower had been a resident of Rumson 50 years. She was the widow of William Hower.
Surviving are her sons, Charles H. Hower of River Plaza and Norman Hower of Leonardo, and a granddaughter.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Posten funeral home, Atlantic Highlands, with Rev. Charles P. Johnson, rector of All Saints Episcopal church, officiating. Burial will be in All Saints cemetery.
