Chesley Allen, age 83, of Miami passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011. He was born on Jan. 23, 1928, in Kimball, Ariz., the son of Vera (Chesley) and Price W. Allen.

Chesley worked for Inspiration Consolidated Copper Company for over 41 years and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Miami Ward. He loved going to the White Mountains with his wife Ruth and his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth on Dec. 11, 1999 and his parents.

Chesley will be greatly missed and warmly missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind in loving memory one daughter, Kathleen (John) Stearns of Miami, Ariz.; one son, Lee (Debbie) Allen of Claypool, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Johnny Stearns of Douglas, Wyo., Lacy Mitchell of Savannah, Ga., Clint Allen of Claypool, Ariz. and Mark Allen of Claypool, Ariz.; and five great-grandchildren, Sidney Stearns, Kendall Mitchell, Reagan Mitchell, Angelina Allen and Kenrick Allen.

Visitation was held Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Relief Socity Room, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Miami Ward, 4247 E. Broad St., Claypool, Ariz.

Services followed with final resting place at Hubbard Cemetery, 5400 N. Hubbard Cemetery Road in Thatcher, Ariz.

Funeral arrangements for Chesley Allen were entrusted to Miles Funeral Services Miami.
