Mrs. J. A. Addison, 89, died in her daughter's home in Midville, Oct. 31, after a long illness. The Laurens County native had lived in Statesboro for about 70 years. She was a member of the Statesboro First United Methodist Church and Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth A. Nasworthy of Midville and Mrs. Louise A. Branan of Statesboro; two sisters, Mrs. George Jones of Florida and Mrs. Mareen Kurth of Calif.; and a brother, Roger Smith of Florida.

Funeral services: 11 a.m. Nov. 2 from the chapel of Smith-Tillman Mortuary. Burial: East Side Cemetery. Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro is in charge.
