Augusta - Mrs. Mercille Cone Jenkins, 42, died Wednesday at University Hospital in Augusta after a short illness. The Bulloch County native lived in Augusta for the past 15 years. She was a member of Whitesville Baptist Church in Statesboro.

Surviving are her husband, Willie Lee Jenkins of Augusta; three daughters, Misses Tammy and Connie Cone and Miss Sabrina Jenkins, all of Augusta; five sons, Robert Cone Jr., Tony and Charles Cone, Jason and Willie Jenkins Jr., all of Augusta; her mother, Mrs. Naomia Brack of Statesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Jones and Mrs. Willie Mae Webb, both of Statesboro; five brothers, Lee Watt, James and Daniel Brack, all of Statesboro, Nathaniel Brack of Sylvania and Charlie Brack of Newart, N.J.; five grandchildren.

Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Whitesville Baptist Church in Statesboro, burial in Eastside Cemetery. James R. Barnes Mortuary of Statesboro.
