BETTY GAY HANSEN

OGDEN - Betty Gay Calder Hansen, our beloved wife, mother, and grandma, passed away on May 4, 2001. It was time for God to call you home with open arms. Your work here is finished. She was born in Garden City, Utah on May 31, 1930 to David and Irene Calder. She married LeRoy Hansen on September 18, 1950 in Evanston, Wyoming.

She was a member of the LDS Church, where she was active as a Sunday School teacher. She worked at the IRS as a tax examiner for several years and later retired from Defense Ogden Depot.

Some of Mom's accomplishments included her ability to get along with everyone and make them laugh. She could also start a business and turn it into a success immediately.

Surviving are her husband, LeRoy B. Hansen, Ogden; two children, Peggy (Ed) Bell; Michael J. (Jody) Hansen; four grandchildren, Heather Hansen, Justin Hansen, Michelle Johnson, Shane McGuire; and five great grandchildren, Dallas, Daisha, Mason, Quade and Elle. She is also survived by two sisters and one brother, Oral Lutz, Garden City; Bob Calder, Logan; and Lois Erickson, Ogden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
