Celia Fuentes died at 98 years of age. On Monday, July 7, 1997, a vigil was held for her at the Moritz Funeral Home in Montebello, California, beginning at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 9:00 AM, July 8th, at St. Hilary Church in Pico Rivera, California, the same church where her grandson Randy had been baptized years earlier.

It is believed that Celia was married 6 times.
She married Felipe Gallegos (born in 1893) on March 6, 1915. They had a son Felipe born on April 7, 1916 in Mexico. She was married to Pablo Baray (marriage date unknown) and together it is believed they had 2 sons. We know one is Roberto. She was also married to Jesus Galabis (marriage date unknown) and they had 3 daughters, Celia, Emma & Maria.
