Maggie was the oldest daughter of William Clancy and Wilhemina (Cairncross) Clancy. She had eight younger siblings, Catherine, Mary Jane, William, Peter, Jessie (Clancy) Reid, Stewart James, Bertha (Clancy) Jensen, and Minnie (Clancy) Wiberg.

Maggie married William Charles Wheat Aug 12th, 1924 in Carlton County, Minnesota. Together they had one son, Wendall Gene Wheat.

She died at the age of 94 years.
