MINNIE ETHEL CURRY WALTON PULLINS was born August 28, 1931, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Thomas and Elizabeth Stamps Curry. Ethel was the youngest of nine children. Her siblings Mary, Alice, Margaret, Eula, Clyde, Sr, James, Albert, and Clarence all preceded her in death.

Ethel attended Indianapolis Public Schools, graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1949 and later attended business school to become a data entry operator.

Ethel was baptized in Jesus name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost at Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly Church, Indianapolis, Indiana at a young age. She was a faithful, dedicated and active member at Christ Temple. Ethel was a member of Christ Temple's Sanctuary Choir, kitchen staff, member of the Hostess Committee; Assistant Chairlady of the Women's Auxiliary and was a Sunday school class secretary. Ethel loved her church family and served faithfully until her health began to fail.

Ethel married James Lee Walton and to this union six children were born.

Ethel was employed by the State of Indiana, L.S. Ayres, and Bank One. She retired from Bank One after eighteen and a half years of service.

Later in life, Ethel married Kinnard Pullins. They were blessed to have each other and could often be seen holding hands as if they were still teenagers.

Ethel departed this life on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at the age of seventy-nine years. Her mother, father, husbands James and Kinnard, and sons Johnny and James, Jr. all preceded her in death. Two of her sisters who preceded her in death, Alice B. Curry Alexander and Eula Curry Hite, have memorials on this site.

Ethel leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Elmira Louise Walton, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Brenda K. Morris (Tony), Indianapolis, Indiana; Debra Walton, Indianapolis, Indiana; her son, Suffragan Bishop Anthony Walton (Shirley), Evansville, Indiana; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, and other beloved relatives and friends.
