Son of Jesse H Herrin and Elizabeth Lucinda Reddick. Elizabeth Lucinda Reddick Herrin is buried in Spring Valley Cemetery. Aldus' mother, Lucinda, died in Dec 1862, while Jesse was away with the 54th Indiana Volunteers, Civil War. Jesse remarried, Permelia Russell, in 1864 and is buried in the IOOF (Old Oaklandon) Cemetery.
