DEATHS MRS. FLORA V. SLOCUM Mrs. Flora V. (Beeker) Slocum, 86, of 443 West Wood street, West Lafayette, widow of Leroy C. Slocum, former cashier at the old City National bank for many years, died Friday at 4 p. m. at St. Elizabeth hospital of a brain concussion suffered a week ago in a fall at her home. Born at Battle Ground, she was a member of Trinity Methodist church. Her husband died Dec. 30, 1934.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Grace S. Smith, Mrs. Nellie Gholson and Mrs. Edith Snyder, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Jessie Smith, also a sister, Mrs. John Naegle. Body at Soller and Baker funeral home after 6 p. m. Saturday. Services, there, Monday, at 10:30 a. m.
