Mr. Raymond Holt, age 93, of 3257 Freedom Church Road, Russell Springs, passed away Friday, June 2, 1995 at 4:10 a.m. at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, after a short illness.

He was the son of the late William Nathan and Nancy Mariah Bailey Holt. Preceded in death by his wife, Joelynn Absher Holt on Dec. 18, 1965.

Mr. Holt is survived by two sisters, Minnie H. Short of Russell Springs and Anna Travis Wilken of Fairberry Ill.: one brother, Walker P. Holt of Covington and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Holt attended the Freedom Separate Baptist Church, a member of Hood Masonic Lodge #839, veteran of World War II, lifetime member of the DAV in Russell Springs, Chapter 51, and had hauled rock and lime.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 4, at 2:00 p.m. at the Freedom Separate Baptist Church, with Rev. Richie Curtis and Rev. Garnett Hammond officiating.

Interment in the Freedom Church Cemetery with Masonic rites conducted by Hood Masonic Lodge #839.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
