Lillie Ferrell Cluff, 86, died Thursday, April 8, 1999 at her son's home in Bountiful, Utah.
She was born April 26, 1912, in Alpine, Utah, daughter of Benjamin Pierce Ferrell and Mary Elizabeth Mitchell. She attended schools in Saratoga, Jordan River, Lehi, Provo, and Midway, Utah. She married Ralph Moyle Cluff on April 20, 1931 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She lived in Utah until 1947 when she moved to Caldwell, Idaho with Ralph and six sons. They lived on a dairy farm for 31 years, during which time another son and daughter were born.
She enjoyed being at home and learning the arts of being a mother and homemaker. Some of her talents were sewing and cooking. She loved to make crafts and especially enjoyed crocheting. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many positions in the Primary, Sunday School, Relief Society, and Mutual programs.
She is survived by six sons and their wives, Ralph and Jolene Cluff of Bountiful, Utah, Harold and Elaine Cluff of McCall, Idaho, David and Patricia Cluff, Payette, Idaho, Thomas and Kaylyn Cluff of Boise, Idaho, Benjamin and Pamela Cluff of Pleasant Grove, Utah and Steven and Patricia Cluff of Middleton, Idaho; one daughter and her husband, Joy and Steven Marker of Ogden, Utah; one sister, Hazel Hansen of Middleton, Idaho; one sister-in-law, Vera Cluff of Lindon, Utah; 55 grandchildren; and 70 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, William Ferrell Cluff; her parents; two brothers; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Middleton LDS 4th Ward Chapel, in Middleton, Idaho, April 17, 1999 at 11 a.m. Family and friends may call on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Alsip Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Ave. S., Nampa, Idaho and on Saturday at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Middleton Cemetery.
