Alice M. Ecenrode, 84, a resident of Lancaster, died Friday morning at Lancaster General Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She had worked as a presser at Ship and Shore, Brownstown, and retired from the laundry at Lancaster General Hospital.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lancaster.
She was the widow of Ira S. Hawke, and George M. Ecenrode.
Born in Mountville, she was the daughter of the late Elias S. and Ruth A. Fehr Binkley Beck.
She is survived by a daughter, Charmaine R., wife of Larry E. Royer of Ephrata, a son, Gregory R., husband of Linda M. Ecenrode of Lancaster, seven step children, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, James, husband of Ethel Beck of Reamstown, Carl Benjamin Beck of Levittown, and a sister Frances, wife of Robert Hogarth, also of Levittown.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral from The Gundel Funeral Home, 415 N. Duke St., Lancaster, Pa., on Tuesday, Aug. 20th, at 1:00 P.M. with the Rev. Joseph R. Faith officiating. Interment will be in Riverview Burial Park; Lancaster, Pa. Relatives and friends may call at The Gundel Funeral Home on Tuesday from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M.
